What is “June is Parks and Recreation Month”?
Recreation Manitoba recognizes the month of June as “June is Recreation and Parks Month” (JRPM). JRPM provides the opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of parks and recreation and the role it plays in the quality of life for all Manitobans. Celebrating JRPM draws attention to the many benefits of recreation and parks for individual, communities, and the province.
This year, we are encouraging Manitobans' to take part in random acts of recreation. Recreation is a very personal thing and means something different to everyone. For some it means going for a bike ride and for other reading a great book
